Anchor Health Properties Marks Opening of 8,000 Square Foot Ambulatory Surgery Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
Focused on maximizing strategic value in the company’s owned and managed portfolio while enhancing access to patient-centric care, Anchor recently completed an 8,017 square foot ambulatory surgery center (ASC) build out at the company’s Gardens Medical Pavilion facility located at 3401 PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The building is currently 100% occupied.
The ambulatory surgery center provides outpatient endoscopy surgical services offered by Baptist Health South Florida, a preeminent local health system dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of their patient base. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, the ASC features welcoming waiting areas, private recovery spaces, and a streamlined admission and discharge process.
Working in tandem with health system leadership, Anchor’s integrated management and development teams collaborated on developing the new surgery center space to enhance the overall patient experience. The expansion aims to meet the increasing demand for convenient and cost-effective outpatient surgery in the surrounding community.
“Baptist Health South Florida’s new ambulatory surgery center is a welcome addition to Gardens Medical Pavilion and offers a significant amenity in serving the healthcare needs of this high growth community,” shared Rebecca Monroe, Vice President, Asset Management with Anchor. “We look forward to supporting the health system’s network of exceptional physicians and nurses while providing a safe and healthy environment to staff and patients.”
Locally based firms with extensive healthcare facility experience served as part of the project team, including Stephen Boruff, AIA Architects + Planners and Black Diamond General Contracting. The ASC opened its doors to patients on December 20, 2023.
Anchor Health Properties acquired Gardens Medical Pavilion in January, 2020 and subsequently executed on an extensive capital improvement plan including renovations to the exterior façade and interior common areas to position the facility as a Class A asset.
